MY HOBBIES

 The Importance of Pursuing Hobbies

Hello there! In today's blog, I want to share with you the hobbies that I have incorporated into my daily routine. Over time, I have discovered the value of hobbies and how they bring pleasure to both the body and mind, ultimately leading to a greater sense of happiness. In the fast-paced world we live in, where jobs and family responsibilities often dominate our lives, hobbies serve as wonderful stress busters.

MY Hobbies

As someone who works in the software domain, spending nine hours a day in front of a computer screen can feel burdensome, especially when combined with the responsibilities of taking care of my family. Nevertheless, I am very committed to nurturing my hobbies. One of my favourite activities is practicing yoga daily, as it helps me find balance and inner peace. Additionally, I have a deep passion for writing, and I enjoy pouring my thoughts and ideas into my diary or sharing them on various social media platforms. Dancing is another hobby that brings me immense joy. I love moving to the beats of DJs and have even performed on stage during my college years. Whenever I find some free time, I make dance videos and share them on Instagram.




How I Developed My Hobbies

To be honest, I have always been a dedicated individual, since my childhood. While I excelled academically, my parents always encouraged me to explore activities beyond studying. My mother introduced me and my sister to Shastri Hindustani classical music, igniting a sense of enchantment in our young minds. During the summer holidays, my mother ensured we remained active and engaged. We attended various classes, such as dance, skating, music, drawing, and even chess and carrom board games. These activities were made possible through the unwavering support and encouragement of my parents.


My Interests

Although I have tried many different activities throughout my life, as we grow older, we naturally gravitate toward our true interests. When I was 14, I would pick up blank diaries and pencils and scribble random stories and ideas. Looking back, those early attempts were amusing, as my writing was still immature. However, as I entered my teenage and adulthood years, my writing evolved. In 2018, I decided to post one of my written pieces on social media, and to my surprise, I received a lot of positive feedback from friends and family. This encouraged me to continue writing, as it brought me happiness. Additionally, I have always found solace in reading books. It not only brings me joy but also helps me relax. My mother told me that writing runs in our family's DNA, as we have many talented writers among us. This realization further fuelled my passion for writing, and I have continued to pursue it alongside my studies and career. I even took up content writing to improve my skills and make the most of my talent.






Another Set of Interests

Aside from writing, I have a profound love for dancing and practicing yoga. Dancing has been a part of my life since childhood, although I was initially hesitant to perform on stage. However, as I grew older, I shed my inhibitions and started giving numerous performances during my college years. The appreciation I received from friends and faculty members boosted my confidence, and I realized that my body was naturally flexible for dancing. Even now, whenever I dance, I feel a sense of confidence, happiness, and freedom from stress.

Another interest that gradually developed in me was practicing yoga and engaging in cardio exercises. I discovered this passion during my competitive exam and job preparation journey. In 2020, as the waves of the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted our lives, I found myself deeply concerned about my future career goals. Alongside my exam preparation and job search, I spent long hours

 Sitting in front of a computer screen, which led to a chaotic mental state and anxiety issues. Seeking ways to manage stress, I stumbled upon the importance of engaging in physical activities. So, I started going to the gym, doing cardio exercises, and maintaining a healthy diet. This lifestyle change had a positive impact on me, and for the past nine months, I have been regularly practicing yoga. It has provided me with physical and mental strength.




Conclusion: The Role of Hobbies in My Life

After engaging in numerous adventurous activities and exploring different areas of interest, I have discovered the hobbies that truly fascinate and fulfil me. I have made it a point to dedicate time to these activities, even amidst my busy schedule. My hobbies have become my therapists, allowing me to unwind and find solace in the midst of a hectic routine. I strongly urge you to identify and cultivate your own hobbies. Take the time to pursue them, as they can serve as invaluable stress busters in your own demanding life.
